Last month, SSHS students competed in the Euro Challenge at Northgate's Bellevue campus. Hosted by the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh and organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, this event requires that students spend months researching and compiling a 15 minute presentation on the current European economic situation with a focus on the overall Euro Zone and on one particular country and issue of their choice. This year's team of Asa Rosak, Nolan English, Eva Horvatova, Nicholas Turner, and Cody Mehlmauer chose to focus on Finland and Long Term Growth and Innovation as their topics. Their research was presented to Pittsburgh area European economic experts. Our team came away with a wealth of knowledge and positive feedback from the panel. Thanks for representing South Side so well!
