South Side Middle School has earned a 13th consecutive year of recognition in the National
Schools to Watch program, a middle school recognition and continuous improvement initiative developed by the National Forum, a nonprofit educators association. Schools to Watch schools serve as a model to mentor other schools because of demonstrated social equity, developmental responsiveness, academic excellence, and innovative systems. They are characterized by strong leadership, teachers who work together to improve curriculum and instruction, and a commitment to continuous improvement that is based on supporting the whole child through social, emotional, and academic growth. Congratulations!

SSMS enjoys club time. All SSMS students have an opportunity to attend 13 different clubs ranging from chess to Lego to outdoor clubs. Special thanks to the staff and Ms. Fulciniti for facilitating the fun opportunity.
