Last week, SSMS held the first Ram Reward and Recognition Roundup assembly of the year. We focus these monthly gatherings on recognizing students for being Attendance HEROs (Here, Every Day, Ready to Learn, On Time), their work to meet Beanstack and Get More Math (GMM) Goals, and celebrate our Students of the Month at each grade level.

Strengthening Families Program, for parents and youth ages 10-14, is a FREE 7-week program that allows families to build on their unique strengths and values.
Parents learn how to show love while setting limits. Youth learn how to set goals, resist peer pressure, and manage stress.
Childcare, dinner, and prizes provided each week!

Come join the South Side cross country and track teams for our 3rd annual 5K. This sunset fun run will help us all close out the summer and get ready for school to begin. This run will be part cross country trail, part track, and also through our school grounds. There are no public roads or traffic, making it a great run for kids and families. Race will be followed by fun family activities. Visit our race site for more information and to sign up! Or scan the QR code. All proceeds benefit the South Side middle and high school track and cross-country teams. Sponsorship and donation opportunities available as well. This past weekend, several of our middle school students competed in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) state competition at Penn State. Congratulations to Holly Kondick, Jada Winters, Sadie Wnoroski, Amelia Masley, Emily Betke and Robbie Betke for bringing home FIRST awards and to Kendall Dawson, Amelia Kemp, Jada Kyles, Gia Darroch and Rowan Goe for bringing home SECOND awards. Well done, everyone! And special thanks to Ms. Stonebraker for working with our PJAS competitors throughout the year to ensure they're well-prepared and ready to compete.
