Our 6th graders recently took on the world of work during their visit to Junior Achievement’s BizTown! From running businesses to managing finances and making real-world decisions, students experienced what it’s like to be a part of a thriving community. It was an incredible day of teamwork, leadership, and learning through hands-on fun!

Thanks to our middle school team for the hours of prep work in the classroom, ensuring our students were ready to tackle this challenge. Thanks also to Mr. Vernocy and our high school student volunteers for their help in guiding the middle school students through the day's tasks.

CONGRATULATIONS SPONGEBOB CAST & CREW! This weekend, our very first Middle School Musical at South Side Area School District made a SPLASH—and what an unforgettable debut it was!

A huge congratulations to the cast and crew of SpongeBob The Musical Jr.! From the high-energy performances to the colorful storytelling, every student on stage and behind the scenes brought Bikini Bottom to life with talent, dedication, and heart. We couldn’t be prouder of our Middle School performers for setting the bar incredibly high for future productions.

A special thank you and BIG congratulations to our High School Musical Theater Tech class, who designed, created, and managed sets, props, lights, blocking, choreography, vocals, organization, audio, costumes, and so much more. They quite literally ran the entire show—and they did it with professionalism, creativity, and pride.

Thank you to our directors, staff, families, and volunteers who supported the show from start to finish.

And thank you to our amazing audiences for cheering on our students all weekend long!

Here’s to many more Middle School musicals to come!

Five of our middle school students participated in the annual Mock Trial Boot Camp at Riverside HS last week with other students from the Beaver County Gifted Consortium.

At the boot camp, students learned the inner workings of a courtroom for both criminal and civil cases. After learning about the different roles through various workshops, students then planned to conduct their own court case in "The State vs. The Big Bad Wolf."

Two of our students participated as lawyers for the prosecution, two for the defense team, and one as a juror. In the end, the defense won, and the Big Bad Wolf was set free. It was a great learning experience for all!
