South Side Area School District is excited to announce the second year of our partnership with Unmanned Response to offer South Side students 11-18 years of age this unique opportunity to learn about Drones. Every day of the camp students will be given fun challenges to use their growing piloting skills. Each one-week session will be run by a partnership between South Side staff and industry professionals to cover the following topics.
- Drone Safety and Privacy
- Careers in Drone Technology
- Learn about a variety of Drones (Mavics & Skydio 2) will be the primary training units)
- Drone maintenance
- Preparation for Flight
- Programming Drones
- Campers will be trained and receive the UAS (Trust) Certification
- …and something FUN!
Session 1 will run July 11 – 15 from 9 am – 1 pm
