Vision To Learn: FREE GLASSES FOR KIDS!
Is your child between the ages of 4 and 18 and in need of a vision check? Vision to Learn is bringing their mobile clinic to a local library, offering free eye exams and glasses to eligible school-aged children! Vision to Learn's convenient mobile clinic provides a comprehensive 15-20 minute eye exam conducted by a licensed optometrist, all without the need for dilation. If an eye exam reveals that your child needs glasses, they can select their frames on-site, and prescription glasses will be mailed directly to your home, free of charge. Appointments are required, so don't miss this opportunity to ensure your child has the clear vision they need to succeed in school and beyond.

SSES Has First Ram Rally of the Year! SSES came together for our first Ram Rally of the year on October 16! We learned about our new character skill—attentiveness—and celebrated students who have reached 25, 50, and 100 books. We also recognized our Get More Math achievers and took a moment to learn about Lil’ Rammy Awards! In addition, students were introduced to our Student of the Month program, sponsored by our PTO, which connects to each month’s theme. There was lots to learn and lots to share—but most of all, it was wonderful to spend time together as a school community. Be sure to ask your child what their favorite part of the Ram Rally was!
Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the 3rd annual Run with the Rams 5K! Congratulations to Cascade Stobart and Jaden Butler who placed for the girls and Ian Dilts, Kodiak Stobart and Tyler Cooke who placed for the boys.

Seniors passing on school spirit to Kindergarteners today! Letters and colored pictures were exchanged between the seniors and kindergarten students. You ALL make South Side PROUD!!!
Come join the South Side cross country and track teams for our 3rd annual 5K. This sunset fun run will help us all close out the summer and get ready for school to begin. This run will be part cross country trail, part track, and also through our school grounds. There are no public roads or traffic, making it a great run for kids and families. Race will be followed by fun family activities. Visit our race site for more information and to sign up! Or scan the QR code. All proceeds benefit the South Side middle and high school track and cross-country teams. Sponsorship and donation opportunities available as well. You must register by July 31st in order to be guaranteed a shirt! Please see Mr. Thomas in Room 510 if you have any questions.

We want to keep you informed that PreK registration has been postponed as we continue to assess plans for the upcoming school year. We are carefully exploring options of what the program could look like including the expansion to service more students.
