Congratulations to our October 2025 student of the month winners for October. We celebrated "attentiveness."

From wrapping up toys, to tying a bow, we're looking for elves to make Christmas glow.
Your time and talent, a gift so grand, will make this Santa's Workshop the best in the land.

CONGRATULATIONS SPONGEBOB CAST & CREW! This weekend, our very first Middle School Musical at South Side Area School District made a SPLASH—and what an unforgettable debut it was!

A huge congratulations to the cast and crew of SpongeBob The Musical Jr.! From the high-energy performances to the colorful storytelling, every student on stage and behind the scenes brought Bikini Bottom to life with talent, dedication, and heart. We couldn’t be prouder of our Middle School performers for setting the bar incredibly high for future productions.

A special thank you and BIG congratulations to our High School Musical Theater Tech class, who designed, created, and managed sets, props, lights, blocking, choreography, vocals, organization, audio, costumes, and so much more. They quite literally ran the entire show—and they did it with professionalism, creativity, and pride.

Thank you to our directors, staff, families, and volunteers who supported the show from start to finish.

And thank you to our amazing audiences for cheering on our students all weekend long!

SSES Has First Ram Rally of the Year! SSES came together for our first Ram Rally of the year on October 16! We learned about our new character skill—attentiveness—and celebrated students who have reached 25, 50, and 100 books. We also recognized our Get More Math achievers and took a moment to learn about Lil’ Rammy Awards! In addition, students were introduced to our Student of the Month program, sponsored by our PTO, which connects to each month’s theme. There was lots to learn and lots to share—but most of all, it was wonderful to spend time together as a school community. Be sure to ask your child what their favorite part of the Ram Rally was!

Substitute School Nurses

South Side is looking to hire an Assistant Volleyball Coach. All interested applicants, please send a letter of interest, 3 current clearances, and a resume to Luke Travelpiece, Athletic Director.

Seniors passing on school spirit to Kindergarteners today! Letters and colored pictures were exchanged between the seniors and kindergarten students. You ALL make South Side PROUD!!!

Come join the South Side cross country and track teams for our 3rd annual 5K. This sunset fun run will help us all close out the summer and get ready for school to begin. This run will be part cross country trail, part track, and also through our school grounds. There are no public roads or traffic, making it a great run for kids and families. Race will be followed by fun family activities. Visit our race site for more information and to sign up! Or scan the QR code. All proceeds benefit the South Side middle and high school track and cross-country teams. Sponsorship and donation opportunities available as well.
